Dr. Douglas M. Lawson
Dr.
Douglas M. Lawson is the founding Chairman of Lawson Associates, Inc., a
fundraising and management consultant firm which has served
more than one thousand clients throughout the world. Lawson Associates
has assisted clients in raising more than $2 billion.
Dr. Lawson holds three academic degrees: a B.A. from Randolph Macon
College, a B.D. from Drew University, and a Ph.D. from Duke University. He
is a member of three honorary fraternities: Phi Beta Kappa, Omicron
Delta Kappa and Pi Gamma Mu. He is also an award winning author, having
published More Give to Live; Volunteering; and Faith in the Future.
Dr. Lawson is a frequent speaker and lecturer throughout the United
States, Mexico and Canada. He has been a presenter at a number of the
Association of Fundraising Professionals Annual International Fundraising
Conferences and has spoken at many local AFP chapters throughout the US and
Canada. Other engagements have included: the Education Partnership’s
Planned Giving Council in San Antonio; the First Presbyterian Church on Hilton
